I wrote this in May of 2016 and now a year plus into trumps presidency I thought it worth mentioning again.

Bush won in 2000 the church seemed to go to sleep as we had “Our” man in the white house so everything was considered to be A-ok. But MUCH damage was done under his presidency setting the stage for Obama to do even more. We have been VERY much awake under Obama and I fear if we get a republican president we may very well slip back into slumber and allow the nation to slip farther into hell. With a Hilary presidency we would be awake and praying and doing all we can. America would still be destroyed in judgment but we would be blameless (Eze 33:2-6; 2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: 3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; 4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. 5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. 6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.) America cannot escape the fire that awaits her at the end of her journey the only question will be will her blood be on OUR hands or solely on the hands of those whose sins brought the judgment??? Maybe by seeing evil without it’s Christian conservative cloak on is just what the church needs to be effective in these final days of America.>>>
From what I see the church has fallen asleep again just as with W Bush. She is expecting Trump to do it at and change America back to a Godly nation. That our revival will spread like wildfire FROM DC to the rest of the nation. She is still searching for a POLITICAL solution to a SPIRITUAL problem. This SPIRITUAL cancer America has will not be cured by treating the POLITICAL symptoms. Treating a headache caused by a brain tumor does NOT get rid of the tumor. WE must change America. WE must MAGA! The church wanted a reprieve and prayed to get trump and instead of using that reprieve to launch a D-Day style offensive against the enemy we have simply gone back to bed to wait for trumps reelection. Nothing has changed with our reprieve we are just as unengaged as before but now we will have to answer as to why we asked for a reprieve then did nothing. If Hilary had been elected America could have been judged by now and what was left could have turned to him instead America is still here, still hasn’t turned to him, and is going to get judged even worse for squandering this opportunity.
I don’t know what else to say. We keep expecting government to lead the revival effort when we should be leading that effort. We have learned nothing from history and nothing from ancient Israel. Santayana was right “those who forget history are doomed to repeat it”. Ancient Israel was judged and ceased to be among the nations and we soon shall follow. I was afraid a republican presidency would be the worst thing for those fighting for a return to God and I was right. The Church is asleep on the lap of the republican party. She is a lap dog now. She does what she is told to do when she is told to do it. Worldly power is all that matters to her. She is OF the world now not just IN the world.
<<<<I have a very strong feeling that AFTER judgment at least most of whatever is left of America will experience a revival, a third great awakening, but society needs judgment to wake it up to the need for Christ. America will never again be a force on the world stage but we, Americans left after judgment (I think judgment and rapture will be very close in timing so true Christians will be raptured out soon after but many non-christian and CINO (like the Laodiceans and Sardisians and Thyatirans) Americans will still be here) would be able to help ourselves survive till the second coming.>>>>
